Aims and Objectives
This web site was set up in Summer 2003 by Deborah Kenyon as a fast resource for people looking to book a holiday cottage in the British Isles.   It was born out of the frustration of trying to book holiday cottages.  Simply put, this site is intended to provide the widest choice of holiday cottages to the widest number of possible bookers.

Site Design Philosophy
As a family, we have stayed in around fifty properties throughout mainland UK, and rightly or wrongly, we believe that a decision to book a holiday cottage is based on:-

  1. Is it in the right general area?

  2. Does it sleep enough people?

  3. Does it accept pets?

  4. Does it accept smokers?

Everything else is probably negotiable; for example "a dishwasher would be nice, but this cottage has great views!" and so on; that is why the site stores few details about each cottage, but more can be found on the owners' or agents' websites.  Also the main problem for directory sites is out of date information - especially availability information!  Agents and Owners are most likely to keep their own sites up to date, and hence this site gets bookers to the best source of information (owners'/agents' website) as quickly as possible.

Finally, people booking holidays may have a slow connection, so that needless details simply slow down the site and over-complicate the initial selection procedure.

Commercial Opportunities
It is intended that the site will be commercial; however, if you are a cottage owner or agent, entering your details now in no way commits you to paying for anything in the future.

Company Details
The NoiseNet.Org Ltd is owned and operated from the UK.  We would prefer it if any queries are dealt with by e-mail but if you wish to use "normal" modes of communication,  Mel Kenyon, can answer any (most) queries.
